Debbie Regan Cleveland ’73 recently published a children’s picture book, How Shadowchaser Got His Name: A Cat Tale, which is available on Amazon. The book is illustrated by Aemilia Ann Desy ’20.
After more than two decades of leadership, Paul J. LeBlanc ’80 stepped down as President and CEO of Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) on June 30, 2024. LeBlanc oversaw the school’s growth from 2,800 students to over 160,000 learners, making SNHU the largest nonprofit provider of online higher education in the country.
Sandra Arruda Cain ’81, Executive Vice President of Dean College, is part of a three-person leadership team handling the duties of the college’s Office of the President while a search for a new president is underway.
Gail Shapiro ’88 is proud to announce the publication of her novel, To Sisterhood! which covers the formative and turbulent period in the lives of four young women from their meeting at Boston’s first Female Liberation Conference in May 1969 through August 1972.
Artist Dan Dowd ’90, had the first solo assemblage of his work at Magenta Plains in New York City this year. Consisting of work from 2012 to 2024, Resurface exemplifies the consistent thrust of Dowd’s practice. Made entirely of found materials, Dowd’s wall-mounted assemblages combine clothing, rubber, leather, metal and other kinds of worldly ephemera into unique, carefully considered compositions. This body of work speaks to the histories embedded in these objects, locates them within our consumption-heavy material culture, and places an emphasis on reuse and recreation as alternative paths forward.
Christopher A. Pratt ’94 will be taking on the role of Superintendent of Schools for Claremont and Unity, NH after serving as the Interim Superintendent.
Shelly Zayas Nahkala ’96 has accepted the position of District-Wide Director of Chapter 74 Technical Programs for Springfield Public Schools. She was previously Vocational Supervisor for the High School of Science and Technology.

Michael Malvesti’s ’97 latest role is in Madame Web, playing on Netflix, but he can be seen in more than 30 other films and shows, including Julia, The Holdovers, Boston Strangler, and American Fiction.
Stacia Miele ’99 shares that she is starting a new position as Vice President, Integrated Marketing + Digital Solutions at Crescent Hotels & Resorts.
Allison Gadoury G’03 is the Associate Director, Data Management at Foundation Medicine. Foundation Medicine is a molecular information company which offers next generation sequencing and profiling in cancer patients. The FDA-approved CDx tests analyze over 300 genes to match patients up with personalized treatment plans.
Danielle Nolan Callahan ’04 accepted a new position as Vice President for Sales Enablement at Sentinel Group. She previously led the marketing team and is looking forward to this new chapter!
David Paulson ’06 was recently honored by the Boy Scouts of America’s Narragansett Council
with the National Outstanding Eagle Scout Award, which recognizes Eagle Scouts who have distinguished themselves in their careers at the local, state or regional level. He is now a Senior Wildlife Biologist for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, leading the Wildlife Unit at the State’s Department of Transportation Highway Division. He focuses on conservation and policy for rare species and serves on Wrentham’s Open Space Committee.
Clarice Francis ’07 has joined The Village Bank as Vice President, Digital Banking and will be responsible for all digital banking (consumer and business) programs.

Karla Hailer ’12 will be a speaker at the Thoreau Society Annual Gathering in Concord, MA, presenting on “Ghosts of Gardens Past: How Misreading
Walden Made Me a Gardener.” Additionally, “The Nightmare Rider,” inspired by a class she took as a student at Framingham State, is being published in an anthology, Bolts of Fiction. She recently launched a Substack under her pen name Frances DeLisle, where she is publishing serialized young adult fiction with strong female lead characters in a Steampunk/alternate history world.
Matthew Cook ’14 accepted a promotion to Assistant Editor at Ghost Cult Magazine, covering the music scene.
Hannah Prescott ’14 has been promoted to Executive Operations Officer for the Town of Southbridge Department of Public Works, with more than 16,000 residents and 21 square miles.

Jared Graf ’21 has joined MCR Labs in Framingham as a Junior Accountant. The Massachusetts facility is MCR Labs’ flagship laboratory and headquarters for their scientific and business development teams.
Dawn Dellasanta ’21 has been named Director of the Framingham Public Library. She has been with the Framingham Public Library since 2012, when she started as an adult page. She served as Head of Library Technology from 2018 to 2022 and as Head of Branch Experience from 2021 to 2023, and was named Assistant Director in 2023.
